​My story with Los Barriles began back in 1996, when I first set foot here and instantly fell in love with its beaches, peaceful lifestyle, natural beauty, and, above all, its warm and welcoming community. In Los Barriles, I found my home and the joy of sharing Spanish with those who seek a true connection with Mexican culture.

Throughout my career, I’ve also worked as an official translator and interpreter in Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. These experiences expanded my perspective and strengthened my ability to bridge cultures. My background in psychotherapy, translation, and systemic therapy has also shaped my teaching style—making each class personal, adaptable, and focused on the goals of every student.

My classes go beyond language—they’re an immersion into Mexican culture and daily life. Many of my students have come to me not only to learn the language but also to feel at home here—whether that means buying property, building projects, or finding their place within the community.

Today, I’m living my dream and I am grateful to be teaching at the beautiful Playa del Sol hotel, where every class comes with breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez.
